| If you are getting married in Tennessee, please review the following requirements to apply for your Tennessee Marriage License: |

- Both participants must be 18 years of age to obtain a Tennessee Marriage License.
- A valid driver's license or certified birth certificate must be presented.
- A social security card must be presented if the number is not on your driver's license.
- If you are not a United States Citizen, you must present a valid passport.
- No Waiting Period! No Blood Tests! Apply for your license and be married the same day.
- License must be used within 30 days of issuance. If you are not married within the 30 day period, it will be necessary for you to reapply for the Marriage License.
- If either of you have been divorced or widowed, you will need to know the exact date that the divorce was final, or date of death. If the bride has had her last name change in her divorce and has not had her named changed on her driver's license, she will need to provide a certified copy of her divorce decree.

- $38.50 For Out of State Residents.
- $98.50 - For Tennessee Residents. The $60.00 fee will be waived if applicants complete a 4-hour premarital preparation class held by a qualified counselor or minister and present a certificate of completion. Contact your local county courthouse for more information.
